GIVI’s presence in Brazil, in the form of its own production facility, has reached an important milestone! Read on to learn how we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the South American branch, as well as some interesting facts about the market for motorcycles in this far-off country, which is in the top ten of nations where over one million of these vehicles are registered every year.

Let’s turn the clocks back to 2003, when the foundations were being laid to start up GIVI production for the South American markets. On 28 May of that year, GIVI DO BRASIL opened its doors for the first time in Pindamonhangaba, in the state of São Paulo. THE STORY IN NUMBERS - Today, the branch can boast two different divisions: a production unit and a logistics unit.PLANT 1 covers an area of 22,605 m2, 2,400 of which are indoors, and represents the “Logistics unit and Warehouse”PLANT 2 covers an area of 25,980 m2, 3,600 of which are indoors, and consists of “Research and Development” and the “Production unit”.In total, they are staffed by around 70 employees who work every day in production and customer service, and to satisfy the demand for GIVI products on the Brazilian and Latin American markets.GIVI’s production in Brazil is set up to take care of every stage of the process, from moulding to painting the finished product, with a particular focus on rigid cases in plastic and aluminium for the rear and sides, along with the manufacture of supporting plates, various metal parts, carrier bags, engine guards…Over the last two decades, GIVI’s Brazilian branch has gone from one success to another to become a genuine benchmark for South American motorcycle markets. Its leading sales position is well deserved, and a source of pride for every single member of the company.

Taking Indonesia by storm: Founded in 1978 in Flero, Italy, GIVI is now one of the best-known Italian companies in the worldwide motorcycling community thanks to the vast range of high-quality accessories it produces. It is constantly expanding (currently in 85 countries), particularly in markets on the Asian continent, where the newest addition to the family is GIVI INDONESIA.

This latest achievement — like all our other triumphs in this part of the world, for that matter — is the result of the incredible work carried out since the foundation of GIVI ASIA in 1994 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The development of the Indonesian market began in 2013. Our collaboration with the local distributor continued to grow and deepen into a consolidated partnership, eventually resulting in PT. GIVI INDONESIA (the Indonesian name for GIVI INDONESIA) in 2017. This was followed by transferring our offices to CIKUPA, TANGERANG (in the province of Banten and the Jakarta metropolitan area, on the island of Java). Here, in addition to the establishment of a purpose-built commercial hub for the expansion of the business, a research and development workshop was created and equipped just like the R&D unit at Italian headquarters.GIVI INDONESIA has a vital role to play, as the hub is also responsible for all marketing and distribution activities for the entire archipelago, which represents over 270 million inhabitants, 85% of whom use scooters and motorcycles with an average capacity between 125 cc and 250 cc for their everyday transport needs.Indonesia is home to the production sites of many leaders in the automotive industry, which began to establish a presence here in 1971. The sector is currently considered and is set to remain one of the Big Five propelling economic growth in Indonesia, particularly given the imminent expansion of the electric segment — the subsoil here is rich in nickel, a metal which is indispensable for the production of batteries.Getting back to GIVI, this extraordinary Country, with its continual social and economic developments, immediately made its enormous potential clear to us in terms of the market for accessories for two-wheeled vehicles, giving us a venue for our most innovative products.

It was decided, however, that the five mile course through such a densely populated area was no longer suitable and a new circuit was built five miles west of Chemnitz in 1996. Although mainly used as a driver training centre and road transport safety station, Sachsenring first hosted MotoGP in 1998 and many improvements have taken place since then, including a drastic layout enhancement in 2001. This was the day of celebrations.The meeting with the trade press monopolized the morning: a tour of the GIVI Asia headquarters, in Bukit Beruntung, for a work briefing, followed by a wonderful motorcycle tour led by Hendrika and Umberto Visenzi, that took the group to the prestigious Grand Ion Delemen Hotel in Genting Highlands (known as the “Malaysian Las Vegas”). Here there was the presentation, followed by lunch, of the new product range, including hard cases, soft bags, helmets and rainwear. The many appointments of the day were crowned by the highlight: a gala dinner in the hotel’s splendid ballroom, attended by the company’s top management and the most important dealers and independent distributors in the Asia area.Guests were entertained by displays of traditional dancing and music… in short, a grand event to celebrate an important milestone. But how did GIVI Asia come about? How did it develop over the past 25 years? Character-defining victory A special triumph came from Valentino Corsi, riding for Team Pro Racing Sport headed by Alessandro Belometti, who—together with Moto Club Italia—claimed the title in the Club Team Award. A victory with a unique flavor, achieved despite a bothersome knee injury, overcome through determination and tremendous willpower. World podium for Sweden Under the same Team Pro Racing Sport banner, Swedish rider Max Ahlin played a decisive role in securing his nation's second place in the prestigious World Trophy, confirming Sweden as one of the strongest and most competitive enduro nations. Rising young talents Frenchman Romain Dagna displayed consistency and talent, enabling France to reach the second step of the podium in the Junior Trophy, further enriching the record of Belometti’s team. The Australian revelation However, the biggest surprise of the event was Kyron Bacon, a promising young talent from Enrico Garelli's Team MGR. Positive results for JK Racing at the Italian Motocross Internationals: Key preparations for the upcoming season

The Italian International pre-season championship has just drawn to an official close, with the JK Racing team marking an important stage in its preparations for the 2025 season. The two-stage competition presented vastly different weather conditions, challenging the riders and providing valuable insights as they fine-tuned their performance.First stage: Mantua in the pouring rainThe first round, which was fought on the track in Mantua, took place under challenging conditions posed by the heavy rain that battered the circuit over the race weekend. The mud and difficult conditions on the track made the competition an extremely challenging one.Giorgio Orlando, competing in the 250 category, achieved a promising sixth place in his qualification group, revealing a good racing pace. However, misfortune struck in race 1, when he was forced to withdraw due to a mechanical problem with the motorcycle during a spectacular comeback. This misadventure prevented him from taking part in race 2, leaving his chances of a good final position unfulfilled.Second stage: MontevarchiThe second leg of the championship took place in Montevarchi, under considerably better conditions. The sun ensured the track was dry and smooth, allowing the riders to really show off their potential.Giorgio Orlando managed to complete both races, finishing in 14th place in the first and 19th place in the second. While there is room for improvement in this result, it allowed the young rider to gain experience and clock up precious kilometres with a view to the challenges of the season ahead.Jamie Keith: a show of great character, despite the accidentTaking part only in the second stage, Jamie Keith competed in the 125 category, tackling the races with great determination despite physical difficulties. Having suffered an accident the previous week in Hawkstone Park, the rider gritted his teeth and finished race 1 in 8th position and race 2 in 6th, showing immense grit and resilience.A positive result for the JK Racing teamDespite a few technical issues and the unexpected weather conditions, the Italian International championship proved to be an excellent trial run for the JK Racing team. The team were able to put their level of preparedness to the test and gain vital insights to allow them to tackle the season at their best.With this experience behind them, the team is now concentrating on the official start of the championships, knowing that they can count on competitive riders who are driven to achieve great results.

Motorcycles from all eras were on show, against a backdrop of spectacular motocross races, freestyle exhibitions, and the leading motorcycle and accessory brands in attendance.The GIVI France team wouldn’t have missed it for the world, showing off all our latest innovations at a stand of more than 150 m². In fact, on 28 April 2024, an immense gathering of almost 400 collaborators, enthusiasts and leading personalities from the world of motorcycling — coming from Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan and India — came together at the Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre in the Malaysian capital for which it is named, to celebrate 30 years since the Brescia company first made its long journey to Asia.The occasion was an opportunity to share the joy of the milestones that have been reached so far, and to provide the inspiration needed to keep following the path forged over these three decades: believing in internationalisation, while never losing sight of the unmistakably Italian DNA that characterises all GIVI-branded products.Doing the honours were On Hai Swee, Managing Director of GIVI Asia, and Joseph Perucca, Overseas Operational Director of the GIVI Group. This month in France , Lyon, was the biggest show motorcycle of the year : le salon du 2 roues organized on  150 000 m2 . 160 000 visitors came to visit more than 700 stands : there was a lot of exposition of old bike, a race indoor, and all the brands of motorbike and accessories were there, it was even possible to test some motorbike outside .   Givi of course was present in a stand of 200 m2 , to expose all our new items. It was the occasion to meet a lot of customers, explain our products, give advice to equip their bike in the more practical way . A huge success for our news , especially the V58, the dog bag T525, and all the equipment around the transalp 750 and the 1300GS .

Boasting over half a million visitors, the Milan show has hosted not one but two evenings dedicated to the GIVI brand, each with its own unique character. The first, on Tuesday 9 November, was held to welcome overseas buyers in a show of the global ambition that has now been fully incorporated into the DNA of the Brescia-based company. The second, held the following day, was dedicated entirely to Italian clients and magazines in the sector, to maintain the company’s strong ties with its homeland.Elegance, professionalism, and painstaking attention to detail were the ingredients for two events that succeeded in attracting notice and curiosity from those present. This was partly thanks to an entire display dedicated to the story of MAXIA, the iconic travel top case produced by GIVI since 1991 and presented in its 2023 Limited Edition to mark the occasion of EICMA.Guests were also spellbound, both literally and figuratively, by the extraordinary feats of an internationally renowned illusionist and mentalist; while the Social Booth snapped personalised photos of participants in spontaneous moments, which they could share on their social media channels or print on the spot as a lasting souvenir of the event.The most moving point of the night was the intervention by Hendrika and Umberto Visenzi, the daughter and grandson respectively of the company’s founder, who remains heavily present in the company to this day, where he is constantly by their side at its helm.After guests were greeted warmly by Hendrika, Umberto presented the Limited Edition of MAXIA with great excitement, defining it as "our iconic product". Covering 200 km per day, with two stretches on off-road tracks in the forest and on the road, participants discovered the region’s incredible scenery.This edition: a family atmosphere, historic monuments, mountain passes, broad and winding tracks ideal for enduro bikes, magnificent scenery through the heart of the Beaujolais vineyards, a Saturday night gala event hosted by a winery and much, much more!The different stages could be completed independently—following the GPS route provided for participants—or led by a guide, thanks to our Nat Guide VTM ambassador. Our commercial director, Philippe, also took part as a guide, taking the opportunity to put our products to the test under real driving conditions.The tour was organised in collaboration with the travel agency Amada Aventure. The gathering was a special occasion, bringing the Visenzi family, riders and fans together to rev their engines and debate the future of motorcycle racing.Participating in the event were team manager Lucio Cecchinello and riders Alex Rins and Takaaki Nakagami, who are currently competing to win the MotoGP world title. MEET THE RIDERS: the LCR Honda Team return to GIVI in Brescia!

We met with Hendrika Visenzi, the co-owner of GIVI along with the company’s founder, and her father, Giuseppe. In this interview, she explains the basis of the sponsorship strategy for her company.

We met with Hendrika Visenzi, the co-owner of GIVI along with the company’s founder, and her father, Giuseppe.In this interview, she explains the basis of the sponsorship strategy for her company — which makes motorcycle accessories — talks about what she finds fascinating about this world, and tells us about herself and some of her childhood memories.<a href="./FILES/files/NEWS/2023/Sponsorship-2023/GIVI-SPONSORSHIP-2023_5.jpg">&#8203;</a>&#8203;Read the complete interview: There has been a long-standing partnership between GIVI and major Teams in all areas of racing. What was the inspiration for these collaborations, given that travel is GIVI’s core business? How important are they for the brand reputation? The inspiration came from pure passion. Before becoming an entrepreneur, my dad was a motorcycle rider, during the 1960s when you had to be driven by immense passion if you wanted to race, because there were no teams, sponsors, prizes, etc. It was all fuelled by the love of motorcycles and competition. After such an intense experience in this environment, he wanted to make sure that the brand he created was also linked to racing. These collaborations are essential for the brand. After all, every motorcyclist loves racing, which is also why we try to diversify by investing in the different disciplines. In the two-wheel sector, which is becoming more competitive by the day, how much do MotoGP sponsorships help the brand to stand out? As I’ve said, it is vital to maintain a constant connection to motorcyclists and the various competitions. When a brand makes an appearance at a race, there’s no doubt that it’s noticed by the fans, and that creates loyalty, boosts recognition and strengthens the brand’s identity.Your relationship with Lucio Cecchinello’s LCR Team has lasted for over 25 years. What lies at the heart of this undeniably historic collaboration? Our relationship with Lucio Cecchinello is much more than a sporting collaboration. Over more than 25 years, we have developed a relationship of immense trust and mutual respect. Anybody who knows Lucio Cecchinello will be able to attest to his position as a sportsman beloved by all in the motorcycle world. I think that the choice to support Lucio, first as a rider and then as a team, stems from the fact that my dad sees something of himself in him. As a rider, he had only his own talent to count on when competing against the few official teams that dominated at the time, but despite his lack of means, he succeeded in finishing 3rd overall in 1969, a result that seems impossible to even imagine today.I imagine the world of motorcycle competitions is familiar to you. What do you like most about racing? I am fascinated by the enormous passion of every player in this world. Personally, I'm not a competitive person. I just like to do my job to the best of my ability, but I do admire anyone who pours their heart and soul into motorsport. The excitement that's palpable in the paddocks is a measure of that passion, and it’s impossible not to get swept away by it.How old were you the first time you watched a race, and what was it like for you? Well, I was very young, though my dad had already retired from competitions, but I can clearly remember the smells, the excitement, the mechanics and drivers running everywhere and all the motorcycles, which you might expect to frighten a child, but which I found absolutely thrilling. You were born into this world, the daughter of a leading entrepreneur who started as a rider in the 1960s, one of the best in the world at the time. Do you have any anecdotes that particularly stuck with you, maybe something from one of your dad’s stories? My dad’s stories are always spell-binding and packed with rich details thanks to his great memory. There’s one that I remember in particular, as it summed up what it meant to be a rider during those years, and it was what caused Dad to quit the competitive world. He was in Finland to race in the GP. Bear in mind that, back then, he and another rider would load their two motorcycles into a van and drive for 4-5 days to their destination, sleeping in the van. During the race, my dad had a serious problem with the engine. The clutch broke at high speed, causing the engine to lock the rear wheel and resulting in a nasty fall and a broken pelvis. Just picture what he would have been wearing at the time too, a leather jumpsuit with no protection, and a half helmet, a level of safety that’s not at all acceptable for cyclists these days. The other rider took him to the hospital, and his clothes were cut off so he could be treated. Because he had no insurance, he was discharged after a few days, still without clothes — he had only a pair of pyjamas and slippers. Luckily, he managed to make his way back to Italy through a series of scrapes and adventures, but the fact that my brother was just 3 years old at the time and I was a newborn led my father to abandon competitions for good and embark on a new, entrepreneurial chapter in his life.We’ve seen various pictures of you as a motorcycle passenger, during events. Have you ever tried riding a motorcycle yourself? I love the feeling of being on a motorcycle, even as a passenger, but I must confess I’ve never tried to ride one. It just means that I’m able to appreciate the countryside fully from the passenger's seat.You’re a businesswoman, a mother of two, with lots of volunteering and social commitments. How are you able to make everything work? I try to organise my days as best I can, because I think that planning your work properly is essential. I'm also lucky to have two children who are very dedicated to their studies. My social involvement is a trait that I’ve inherited from my dad, who taught me gratitude and to appreciate the value of charity.Thanks for your time. We wish you all the best for the future!

established on May 28, 2003 in Pindamonhangaba, in the State of São Paulo, the company currently has two branches, a manufacturing unit and a logistics unit, which together currently have approximately 70 employees and are responsible for manufacturing, customer service and supplying demands for GIVI® products exclusively in the Brazilian and Latin American markets.Understanding the importance of stimulating the feeling of participation and belonging and, at the same time, providing its clients with a unique experience in the exact place where it all begins, the company opened its festive program with two moments of internal factory visits, allowing its clientele to get to know each of the operational processes that currently systematize the activities of its production chain and culminate in the shipment of a range of finished products that go directly from Pindamonhangaba to its distribution channels and final consumers in national and South American Our purpose is to be even closer to the motorcyclists and to know their needs first hand and offer them perfect solutions with our product range. On this occasion, we let ourselves be carried away by our true biker soul to be present at the first edition of the Rider Soul, a non-competitive moto-touristic event in which we accompanied about 100 riders on a mystery route for users of different levels that took place in Seville, Spain, the past 11th of February.GIVI was born from the passion for two wheels of our founder, Giuseppe Visenzi. A love for motorbikes that 45 years later is still one of the fundamental pillars of the company. For this reason, we have participated in numerous events all over the world and we support teams, riders and adventurers with whom we share this passion. Some examples where GIVI has been present are EICMA, Friedrichshafen, Tulln and Hamburg fairs, or the recent Two Wheels show in Lyon among others. In the same way, our brand is present in the Moto E World Championship and also in MotoGP World Championship with the LCR Team and the Official Ducati Team. As well as in the World Superbike Championship, and in other high-level off-road competitions.On this occasion, we wanted to get closer to all those motorcyclists who enjoy trips, with a "moto-tourist" profile, with our presence in the Rider Soul. A motorbike raid that started at the Olympic Stadium La Cartuja in Seville, on February 11, and toured the Andalusian province in a mystery route designed for all levels of riding. This non-competitive event was part of the MotoAndalucía programme, a Trade and Competition Show for motorbike enthusiasts in the south of Spain, where GIVI was also present.Nearly 100 riders took part in the first edition of Rider Soul, which was part of the Andalusian Motorcycling Federation's calendar. The diversity of motorbikes and cylinder capacities that attended this event indicates how well received it was, managing) to bring together all types of bikers, from experts to newcomers to the world of two wheels, to share a hobby and a challenge.In addition to being an official sponsor, GIVI was represented by one of its brand ambassadors in Spain, who, with a great trajectory in the world of motorbike travel, as an opinion leader and specialist in the touring/adventure segment, experienced the event first-hand and put the Canyon range with which his bike is equipped to the test. The new GRT723 top case offers an additional advantage, the lightness of a soft bag combined with the Monokey fixing system, which is normally used on hard cases. The GRT724 saddle bag is also being previewed at EICMA, another new piece in the range.With the arrival of these two models, the CANYON line goes from 11 to 13 different bags, all made to be used primarily on Adventure motorcycles. This complete range will meet every need a rider can have.GRT723Creating a soft top case with a semi-rigid base that supports the MONOKEY fixing system is a winning idea.   The CANYON GRT723 is the top of the line for this new hybrid philosophy which allows a soft bag to take the place that is usually reserved for hard top cases. This new top case fits perfectly into the Canyon speciality line. Aesthetically, it is compact and rectangular, and its main roll top closure hides the internal capacity, which can reach up to 40 litres when fully loaded. On the outside, we find an adjustable upper flap, equipped on the back with a mesh pocket and the classic extra-cargo fixing points featured by the M.O.L.L.E. system. Adjustable straps with clamp closure maintain the tension. Additional straps with hook and loop closure are visible at the ends, making it possible to attach additional loads.On the inside, the bag comes standard with a fluorescent yellow, removable, waterproof bag with a roll-up closure. A shoulder strap and handle are included.The semi-rigid base is built to house the fixing plate with the Monokey system.&#8203;<a href="https://www.givi.it/prodotti-givi/borse-moto-e-scooter/borse-sella/grt724b" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">GRT724</a>&#8203;Even more versatile than the previous version, this heat-sealed bag is designed as a rear saddle bag, but in reality its characteristics, including a 12-litre internal capacity, also make it suitable for fixing to an aluminium side case (straps are supplied) or within the spaces made available by the CANYON GRT721 bag base. It can also be used with the GRT723.Moving on to the description, you immediately notice the details of the closure, made with a double roll top. There are also fastening straps with Duraflex® cam buckles to ensure the proper strap tension. The two side handles for easy carrying are great, but there's also a shoulder strap!

It’s simple really, as the accessory modifies the stability of the scooter or motorcycle on which it is mounted, and this is why we must always choose carefully and consider the repercussions that a top fairing can have on vehicle aerodynamics.This evaluation is further complicated by the need to choose between a high windscreen and one of reduced size. While, on the one hand, lower screens do not interfere with our line of sight in rain, they offer significantly less protection against the wind or any debris on the road surface, fully exposing us to the elements. On the other hand, higher windscreens are able to fully protect us when riding but can also cause a significant “sail effect” and have a real impact on the vehicle’s aerodynamic behaviour, leading to a lack of motorcycle or scooter stability.The solution? The X-LINE motorcycle bag range brings to the road the technical and aesthetic choices developed by GIVI over the past two years—a period in which we strongly accelerated the evolution of our “soft” luggage solutions, expanding the lineup with seven product lines designed for enthusiasts seeking safe, convenient accessories for touring on their motorcycles. X-LINE bags stand out for their refined overall design, the use of a high quality mix of materials (Polyester, TPU and Nylon), the presence of a removable internal waterproof bag to protect contents from rain, and excellent versatility. Once again, the biannual magazine that has been telling the story of the GIVI world from the inside for years offers a mix of interesting content, enriched with multimedia contributions. There is no shortage of previews of activities planned for 2022.

Despite organizational difficulties and some absences, the event finally allowed a “close encounter” with the public and proved to be a real success… not only in terms of numbers: the 2021 Milan Show was confirmed as “the first sustainable automotive fair in the world.”As usual, the opening article of the end‑of‑year magazine is dedicated to the many new products presented at the show: among them, soft and hard luggage solutions, helmets of various types, and useful accessories. Today GIVI sat down with Lucio Cecchinello, Team Manager of LCR Honda MotoGP, to take stock of the premier class of the World Championship and shoot the breeze.In the video, we will see that not even lockdown managed to stop Lucio Cecchinello. Just think that he took advantage of it to completely reorganise the team's technical division and the workshop!And while you may have expected this from someone as full of energy as Cecchinello, you may be surprised by what Lucio told us about his other hobbies. Would you have ever guessed that he has always had a passion for electronics used in music production? Can you picture him assembling and fixing radios, amps and mixers?Getting back to MotoGP, you will hear the latest news on the evolution of the championship directly from Lucio, as well as some "tidbits" on how the team riders are keeping fit and training as best they can to be ready when they get the green light again (possibly as soon as July!).It won’t be easy to get back on track at first, between security protocols that are being developed, medical tests, isolating teams from one another and, above all, races without spectators. The riders and the team are excited and motivated and they can’t wait to start again with passion and enthusiasm. The forced interruption of the past few months has not quenched the excitement of our 25 team members, who have stayed in touch throughout and who are ready and willing to repeat last year’s success.It looks like they may start racing again in August. If that is true, Puccetti is confident that the enthusiasm to get back in the saddle will allow the riders to overcome any difficulties due to the fact that they haven’t been able to train over the these past few months, even if they are now starting to schedule their first test sessions on the track.We also asked him about how he has dealt with this period of lockdown.
